Coconut-Shell Carbon Products · Adsorbent

Coconut-shell activated carbon for your application.

Coconut-shell activated carbon is an adsorbent used in filtration and industrial processes. We initially focus on sourcing virgin granular activated carbon (GAC), with the grade chosen for your application, operating conditions and approval requirements.

Start with the application

Water treatment and filtration manufacturers

Dechlorination, taste and odour control, process-water pretreatment or a defined cartridge/media requirement.

Air and gas

State the gas or vapour, concentration, humidity, temperature and flow. Some applications need a modified or impregnated grade.

Send an air/gas brief

Tell us the grade and application

Enter coconut-shell activated carbon, the required form and the application in the Product family and intended application field. State whether the requirement is GAC, gold-recovery carbon or a specialty grade, then add the specification, quantity and receiving destination.

What belongs in the GAC specification

RequirementBuyer information to provide
Material and formVirgin granular material, any finishing required and the grade you currently use. State whether you need an initial fill or replacement media.
Particle distributionMesh or millimetre range, full sieve limits, fines and system-screen compatibility.
Core propertiesMoisture, ash, hardness/attrition, density, pH and relevant adsorption indices with test methods.
ApplicationMedium, target substance, concentrations, flow, contact time and operating conditions.
ApprovalRequired material certification, exact scope, sample protocol and system or site trial.

Review specialist applications separately

Gold recovery

For CIP, CIL or CIC gold-recovery systems, include circuit details, retention-screen sizes, attrition test requirements and metallurgical tests for adsorption and elution.

Specialty forms and finishing

Powder, pellets, washed, catalytic and impregnated grades require a product-specific technical brief.

Request specialty review

Confirm performance in the actual process

Iodine number, feedstock identity or a laboratory certificate of analysis (COA) alone cannot prove contaminant removal or service life in your system. Agree an application trial and compare the proposed grade with the result you need. Potable water, PFAS treatment, food, pharmaceutical and other applications with specific approval requirements need the exact grade and relevant material or system approvals.

Packaging and replacement planning

Specify the bag or flexible intermediate bulk container (FIBC), liner and closure, net weight, cleanliness, lot marking and lifting requirements. For filling a vessel, provide the media volume and density as well as its required weight. Include your replacement date and expected regular demand to help plan delivery.

Discuss your grade and destination

Common technical questions

Can ordinary charcoal replace activated carbon?

No. Unactivated charcoal and an application-qualified activated-carbon grade have different functions and specifications.

Is coconut carbon suitable for every contaminant?

Suitability depends on pore structure, grade, contaminant mixture and operating conditions. Some applications need a different feedstock or treatment technology.

Can a supplier certification be applied to our finished filter?

Material certification and finished-system performance certification have different scopes. Confirm the exact listing and review any supplier change with your technical and certification teams.

Bring us your requirement.
